Hey guys I was just checking out your podcast.

The air blowing over the cockpit window is from current military aircraft. Modern fighters have a mechanical air cooling system. This provides air for the oxygen generation/electronics cooling/cockpit ac/pilot G-suit… It takes air from one of the middle stages of the jet engine and using turbos(compression/decompression) and heat exchangers cools the air from 400F to as cold as 0F. Some of the warm air is diverted to the windshield.
